Legal Secretary
Susan is a Legal Secretary in our Newbury office and she supports the family lawyers and private client lawyers here.
You’re likely to speak to Susan when you first become a client of the firm. She’ll make sure that we have all the information we need to begin working together. Throughout your time with us, Susan will keep you updated with the progress of your matter with regular phone calls or emails.
Susan keeps all client matters ticking along. She calls the court for updates on our clients’ cases, and she helps to compile documents for the court.
Our lawyers and clients enjoy working with Susan because she’s organised and has an excellent eye for detail. The court often needs a wide variety of documents, presented in a certain way, and with Susan’s many years of experience she makes sure we get it right every time.
She’s friendly and approachable and she makes our clients feel supported and cared for. Susan also speaks French, which comes in handy for our interactions with international clients, or clients who have assets and family overseas.
Perhaps her only flaw is failing to keep the office plants alive, but she’s now managed to successfully delegate that responsibility.
Susan is based at our Newbury office.

Q: Outside of work, what are your hobbies and interests?
A: I really enjoy swimming and I have a bucket list of places I’d like to swim. I love reading – can’t get enough of it. I also enjoy foreign travel. I think it broadens my mind to learn about other cultures.
Q: Who would be your dream dinner party guests, and why?
A: Team Peake – he has an inspirational story of tenacity, ambition, and ability. Roger Federer – how is it possible for anyone to be so athletic? Edith Piaf – I love her songs, and I could speak French to her.
Q: What TV show are you currently enjoying?
A: Clarkson’s Farm. It’s serving a massively useful purpose in highlighting to people the huge challenges presented by farming, plus it’s funny, and pretty random. Blackberry pickers and hovercrafts?
