Samantha is a Partner in the firm and the Head of our Henley-on-Thames office. She is one of the founding members of KJS and has been with the firm since it was launched in 2009.
Samantha has spent her whole career at the firm, from paralegal to associate and then to Partner level. She has shaped the culture and direction of the firm, and our inclusive, supportive culture has been crafted through many years of Samantha’s influence here.
Samantha is a highly experienced lawyer and has worked in all aspects of family matters since she qualified in 2012. She has particular expertise in divorce and the breakdown of civil partnerships. One of her favourite parts of the role is the challenging aspect of untangling the financial matters associated with these cases. However, she is very adept in this area and navigates her way through complex issues to find the best result for her clients.
As a member of Resolution, she is committed to dealing with disputes in a constructive and conciliatory way. Clients enjoy working with Samantha because she is sympathetic and down-to-earth, but assertive and robust with the other side when she needs to be.
Samantha enjoys supporting the more junior colleagues in the firm, and she’s an inspiring mentor to new lawyers. Under Samantha’s management, lawyers develop their skills and knowledge in family law and build their confidence in dealing with clients. She helps other lawyers to flourish in their careers and continue the success of the firm.

Get to know Samantha
Q: Outside of work, what are your hobbies and interests?
A: I’m Mum to an energetic 5 year old boy who keeps me on my toes! I love days out with him and you'll often find us at the zoo, adventure park or some kind of theme park. I’m a thrill-seeker, I love rollercoasters and have done a 15,000 ft skydive. I’m passionate about music and theatre. On the quieter side I also enjoy reading, sewing and cuddling up on the sofa with a good box set.
Q: Who would be your dream dinner party guests, and why?
A: Jared Leto - I'd love to hear all about his film and music career (plus he is very nice to look at !) Jim Carey - I think he'd be an absolute hoot at the table, and Matt Bellamy so he could play acoustic Muse songs to me over dinner.
Q: What is something random about you that your colleagues wouldn’t know?
A: I’m extremely short sighted with -9.5 prescription contact lenses
